Governor Begs Boko Haram; Invites Them To Government House

I thought Boko Haram members are faceless as we are told? The governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, held a peace meeting with the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram, at the State House in Maiduguri to goad them into ending their violent attacks in the state and other Northern states.

According to reports, the Boko Haram team was led to the talks by Abu Mohammed Abdulazeez, who is said to be the sect's new spokesman as well as a member of its Shura committee.

He led 10 others whose identity could not be verified in the hush hush meeting.

The government was represented by the governor personally as well as eminent citizens of the state including Dr. Mali Galtubio, Ambassador Gaji Galtimati and Aisha Wakil and the representative of the security agencies operating in the state.

The governor is expected to brief the press on the outcome of the meeting.
