According to BlackBerry, In Sub-Saharan Africa, BlackBerry is in partnership with Samsung. BBM won’t be available to iPhone and Android users in Africa right away. Only those having a Samsung Android phone that is Android 4.0 and above can get the BBM app using the Samsung Application Store.
Samsung is going to have this exclusivity from the 22nd of October to the 24th of October this year. BBM will become available to all Android and iPhone users in Africa on October 25th. So, you’ll have to wait, except…
You can get the BBM on your iPhone right away
If you have a US iTunes account, visit the US App Store and get BBM for iPhone now. But there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to use it once you download it. BlackBerry is making people wait in line and this is already irking some people.
