Sinzu (formerly known as Sauce Kid) has denied rumours he has signed a deal with US rapper Wiz Khalifa. At least for now…
Some blogs had reported that Sinzu and his management, Sinzu Music Group, had signed a partnership deal with Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang Records. The news was further fueled by photos of an SMG member meeting with Khalifa at a popular radio station in New York city.
It seemed the news was authentic, as
just last month, Wiz tweeted about him and Sinzu hanging out. ’Burning
one with my dude @SinzuSMG, young niggas tatted up #TGOD’,
@RealWizKhalifa tweeted on July 26, 2012.
Surprisingly, the tweet seems to have disappeared from Wiz Khalifa’s Twitter timeline.
Sinzu has however come out to clear the air ‘Is it coz we both tatted n get high? SMG Gang over any other Gang. Sinzu‘, he tweeted, referring to the rumours of the signing.
‘People are just excited, anything
is possible, but if it’s not written on black and white then there’s
nothing to celebrate about‘, a rapper and close associate of Sinzu tells NET. ‘People are excited, I can understand. It would have been a perfect way for Sauce now that he’s finding his feet again’.
Attempts to reach Sinzu and his manager Capo proved futile.
Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang Records boasts of 11 artistes, including longtime crunk rapper Juicy J (of Three 6 Mafia), Ethiopian-born Lola Monroe, three producers, three directors and 10 crew members.
Sinzu ended his ties with Storm Records last year, set up Sinzu Music Group and underwent a brand change, switching his name from Sauce Kid to SinzuSMG. He has released a few singles since then, including the hit song ‘Carolina’ featuring pop star Davido, ‘L.O.K.O‘ with Timaya and a remix to ‘E don dey madt’ with 2face, M.I and Lynxxx.
